What size dumpster do I need?

For most jobs, there is no set rule of thumb to determine the size of the container you will need.  You can visit our Rates/Sizes page to get an idea of how big the container is in relation to what you intend to put in it.

If you are doing a roofing tear-off, however, you can make a fairly accurate estimate using the following formula.  This formula does not take into account any other trash or decking.

Take the number of square of roofing to be torn off:
Multiply by the number of layers:
Equals TOTAL number of Squares:
Divide Total Squares by 4:
Equals approximate number of cubic yards needed:
30 Squares
x 2 Layers
60 Squares
/ 4(sq/c.y.)
approx.  15 cu. yds

How much does it cost to get a dumpster?
The cost of getting a dumpster varies by 3 main factors; 1) your location ; 2)  the type of material you are disposing of; 3) and the size of the dumpster.  Different types of material have different weights and disposal options which affect the price. To ensure that you receive the most accurate price for your job a phone call is required.  You may also submit an e-mail request on our Pricing/Info page.
What types of items can and CANNOT be put in the dumpster?

We accept most common solid waste material. This includes most routine household and construction waste.  We also accept tree limbs and certain landscaping materials.  Heavy materials may be restricted to certain size containers (i.e. 10, 15 or 20 yards) because the weight would exceed DOT regulations and be unsafe to haul.

We DO NOT accept tires, liquids, pesticides, insecticides, chemicals, paints, oil, fluorescent light tubes, propane tanks, TV's, monitors or any other hazardous/toxic waste, radioactive waste, or "Special" waste, as defined by applicable Local, State and Federal laws or regulations.

We cannot accept refrigerators, freezer units, and air conditioners unless they have been cleaned of any/all coolants and have been properly tagged by a licensed technician.

How full can I fill my dumpster?
How full can I fill my dumpster?
To the top.  You may fill the dumpster completely full but the material must NOT exceed the top edge of the dumpster.  We must be able to safely tarp the container and insure that no material will fly out of the container as it is being hauled on the roadways.
